In general, heart rate monitors are NOT an indication of intensity or your fitness level. So, instead of focusing on just your heart rate, focus instead on how you feel. Intensity is subjective, but here’s an example of how you can gauge your intensity: If your maximum intensity level is a full out sprint, as fast as you can go for 10 seconds, then that’s your 10/10 (max) effort level. Start scaling down from there to determine your individual effort levels. It make take you a few workouts before you know the right intensity for your individual fitness level, but you’ll quickly adapt and get in tune with your body quite quickly.← Back to All Help Topics
